Who is Mafia?

Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Who is Mafia? is a party game played in a room together. We built it to collect as little as possible.

Players

Players never need an account. We collect only the name you type when you join a room, and the game state for that room (roles, choices and votes).

Hosts (facilitators)

Hosts sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent by email. For hosts we keep:

A single cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not ask for phone numbers, contacts, location or photos.

Deleting your account

Hosts can delete their account at any time from My account → Delete my account in the app or on the website. This permanently removes the profile, saved setups and history immediately. If you can no longer sign in, email us and we will delete it for you.

Camera

If you choose "Scan the QR code", the app uses your camera only to read the room's QR code on your device. No images are stored or sent anywhere.

How long we keep it

Each room and everything in it (including player names) is deleted automatically 12 hours after it is created. Host accounts are kept until you delete them. The app also remembers your name and current room on your own device so you can rejoin; you can clear this by leaving the game or clearing the app's storage.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data. Data is processed and stored by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, only to run the game. Sign-in emails are delivered by our email provider (Resend). Google sign-in is provided by Google.

Children

The game is designed for teenagers and adults playing with a facilitator, such as in classrooms and team workshops. It is not directed at children under 13.
